I have used B&H Photo for years now and consistently find
them to be the best in price and they always have what
I'm looking for in stock. They are one of only a couple of
retailers that I would recommend whole-heartedly.
By purchasing your photographic equipment through the links
on this site you help support the costs required to
maintain its operation.
I’ve been a fan of photography for as long as I can remember. I remember taking my mom’s camera to Niagra Falls on a family trip when I was a kid. I remember leaving that camera in the rental car when we rerturned it. I had the most awesome camera strap when I was in 6th grade - it was wide and patterned, much like a groovy guitar strap of that era.
I created this site as a place to present some of the many photos that I take each year.
The site is broken down into different areas, each with some aspect of photographic presentation. The Photos area is reserved for those photos that I think stand out from my collection. The Snapshots area is where I post albums organized by date and activity. This is where most of the photos are available. Travelogues provide a little more detail about some of the trips that I’ve taken over the years. Weekly Photo is my attempt at highlighting specific photographs taken over the years and providing a little more color about a specific image. Random Images is just a few photographs chosen by the computer at random and I find it to be an entertaining way to browse through the collection.
I use a few different Open Source systems to publish this site and since I’m not a programmer by trade the integration is not always elegant. One of the exposures of this flaw is in site registration. Right now, if you want to comment on weekly photos or photos or snapshots it requires different registrations (because of the different software driving each of those areas of the site). If you’re interested in commenting but not up to the task of registering, send me an email. Just send something to picsfromtrips.com or knuetter.com and I’m likely to receive it.
For all of the individual photographs and text, and the website as a whole a copyright applies. I put a lot of work into creating and displaying these images and as such, I don't think it's right for people to just take them. That being said, I've benefitted so much from so many who are willing to share their work that I'm more than willing to share. I simply ask that should you want to reproduce a piece of work found here that you make a request and allow me the opportunity to respond. Higher resolution images, prints, and right of copy can be obtained by sending me an email.
