San Francisco Grand Prix

This is the second year that I managed to catch the San Francisco Grand Prix - and it is such a blast.

It's great to see the city embracing bicycle racing, for one. But more importantly, it's an awesome sporting event. Seeing these guys whipping the bikes around the corners of city streets - or struggling up the hills of Russian Hill is so impressive.

I took in several vantage points around my home, including Polk Street near Broadway and Russian Hill. I couldn't really make out any of the individual riders but there were several of the US Postal Service team in attendance (though Lance was sick with an over-100 degree temperature so he only managed to bike a few laps).
