Lost Trail lodge
In June a bunch of us made our way up to the Lost Trail Lodge to celebrate Jim O's birthday.
The Lost Trail Lodge is a tucked-away resort in Truckee, Ca. just around the corner from Donner Lake. After a drive up a fire road (which is a ski-in during the winter) it's just a quick hike up the trail past the railroad tracks.
We had come up the previous winter for some backcountry skiing and had a great time so Laura decided to book it again for Jim's birthday.
We spent the weekend mountain biking, cooking and eating, drinking shot-skis, and just having a good time with friends.
The Lodge is probably ultimately more fun in the winter time but it makes for a great summer escape as well.
