Our flight into Cape Town landed at around 6 am. After our departure we flew over the Alps and the Mediterranean - where we were able to look down onto Morocco or some other North African country - and then the sun went down and we managed to get a bit of sleep.. But of course two overnight flights in a row takes its toll and we were beat. We checked into our hotel, which luckily wasn’t full so we were able to hop in bed for a few hours rest.

We spent the first two days exploring Cape Town, including the waterfront area, the District 6 museum, the City Park, and followed a walking tour from the Lonely Planet. We also managed to stop in to a few cafes, have several great meals (you must eat at Bukhara.)
