Home/2002 photos/Lower Cathedral Spire climb

climbing a Yosemite classic Robert, Karl, Jim and I too advantage of a nice spring weekend to take in a climb in Yosemite Valley. We got a pretty early start to head into the climb, found the trail head and (eventually) found the base of the climb. The climb itself was not too bad - basically a couple of tough moves and one pretty exposed section. Once at the top, of course, I was ready to get down (that heights thing really gets to me in the oddest of places). The rappel down was adventurous, as it was a multi-pitch rappel that at times drew the descender away from the wall leaving you hanging in space.. All-in-all a good climb and a great day with friends.
