Our hotel on Caye Caulker faced West and provided great evening entertainment Our hotel on Caye Caulker faced the West side of the island (most of the lodging faces East, which is the main side of the island). This allowed us great views of the sunsets and our hotel knew how to capitalize on that. The bartender would serve up amazing rum drinks out to the beach so you didn't have to miss a minute of the scenery. With the boats (seeking calmer waters on the West side of the island) and the pelicans and other birds hanging around there was always something to sit back and watch as the sun made its slow decent into the horizon.
