Buenos Aires did not disappoint. I've wanted to get to South America for some time but the trip never seemed to make sense. The closest I've made it previously was down to Belize last year. My hotel was in the Palermo district of Buenos Aires which was a good place to use as a base for the city. I spent my time there mostly just walking around the different neighborhoods, taking in the vibes of the city. B.A. has a very European feel, with a definite South American twist. A good cafe culture is one of the aspects of the city that I especially liked. This was especially true because I was traveling alone. Cafes provide the much-needed respite from walking too many miles alone. I had other destinations on this trip where I knew I would be taking quite a few photos so I really didn't take all that many while in Buenos Aires. For most of my wanderings I walked around only with my Canon G10 camera and not my larger SLR. I mostly just took snapshots of the sights around to help me remember the overall feel of the city. The San Telmo district provided some of the best entertainment during my stay. The Sunday market day is definitely something to experience.
